***NOTE***THIS GUIDE IS INTENDED FOR- NEW MEMBERS OF SANEWS/PEOPLE WANTING TO JOIN SANEWS***NOTE***
This guide will help new members of SANews get through the first few days of their new job, or people looking to see what SANews is all about. Just follow read these rules and tips to get you started. If you are a new member, it is HIGHLY recommended for you to read through the ENTIRE handbook below. ((THESE RULES ARE IC)))

***RULES***

Rules are guidlines that you must follow to be in SANews. Be sure to read and if you don't understand any of these rules, please contact me.

*1. Whenever you wake up ((Log in)), be sure to report you are awake on your walkie talkie.
**2. Treat everyone with respect. Do not insult other members of SANews. Here we are like family.
*3. If you do have any illegal drugs, please do not take any of it to SANews. (There is a legal limit of 25 grams of pot. Crack is illegal.)
*4. If you are going to take a nap ((AFK)), please report it, so we won't talk to your on your walkie.
***5. Do not overuse the News Microphone ((/news)) or the Live Broadcast Microphone ((/live)).
*6. If you want to do the news, please let everyone know on the walkie, so that we won't have 2 people doing the news. Same with the Live Broadcast.
**7. If the SANews Van you are using is running out of gas, please fill it up with gas before returning it to the station.
**8. If you wish to use the SANews Chopper, please inform everyone that you will be using it..
*9. If a SANews Van or the SANews Chopper is lost, stolen, wrecked, or destroyed, please report it on your walkie, so that we know how many vehicles are avaliable.
*10. Whenever doing a Live Broadcast, please do it in private or have an officer protect you if it is in public. San Andreas is a dangerous place.
*11. Only use a SANews or the SANews Chopper for news related transportation and event.
***12. Remember, we are News Reporters. We report news! Don't use the News Microphone ((/news)) for anything other than news.
*13. Keep Live Broadcasts short and sweet. Please only ask 5 questions.
**14. After saying something on the News Microphone ((/news)), count to 20 seconds between each line to space out news sequences.
**15. If you want to organize an event, please contact me or someone in charge about what your event is about.
***16. If your event requires donations, DO NOT KEEP ANY OF THE MONEY (unless the fundraiser is to help SANews), that is robbery!
*17. Never be biased to a local issue or situation. We report news, not our opinions on it.
**18. Do not use inappropriate language on the public news or during live broadcasts.
*19. If you own an illegal firearm, do not take it on SANews premisses.

* = Small Rule. Punishment could be nothing or a "Don't do it again."
** = Medium Rule. Punishment could be a "Don't do it again," warning, or suspension.
*** = Big Rule. Punishment could be a warning, suspension, or extermination.

***RANKS***

Ranks are the levels of employment in SANews. The higher your rank, the better benefits. Most people will start at Rank 0 (or R0). Your skills and actions determines whether and how often you get promoted to a higher rank.

***R0 - Intern
Interns are the people that are learning what SANews is all about. They follow higher ranks around to pick up and learn their skills. People in higher ranks get assigned an Intern to teach SANews basics, like an apprentice. Sooner or later, you will be promoted, to a higher rank.

-Interns ARE NOT allowed to be in the driver seat of a SANews Van, unless granted permission from a Correspondent (R3) or higher.
-Interns ARE NOT allowed to be in the driver seat of the SANews Chopper.
-Interns ARE NOT allowed to use the Live Broadcast Microphone((/live)).
-Interns ARE NOT allowed to use the News Microphone((/news)).
-Interns ARE NOT allowed to host events as part as SANews.

***R1 - Junior Reporter
Junior Reporters are people who are ready to use SANews equipment and vehicles. They are reporters just learning how to use the News Microphone ((/news)). They can experience the beginning of what a News Reporter is all about.

-Junior Reporters ARE allowed to be in the driver seat of a SANews Van.
-Junior Reporters ARE NOT allowed to be in the driver seat of the SANews Chopper.
-Junior Reporters ARE NOT allowed to use the Live Broadcast Microphone ((/live)) unless granted permission by an Anchor (R4) or higher.
-Junior Reporters ARE allowed to use the News Microphone ((/news)).
-Junior Reporters ARE NOT allowed to host events as part of SANews.

***R2 - Reporter
Reporters are people who have had some experience in SANews. They understand the basics and some advanced methods of how things work. They are the head reporters and if they want to do the news, their say goes infront of Junior Reporters. They can start getting into some of the funnest parts of being in SANews.

-Reporters ARE allowed to be in the driver seat of a SANews Van.
-Reporters ARE NOT allowed to be in the driver seat of the SANews Chopper.
-Reporters ARE NOT allowed to use the Live Broadcast Microphone ((/live)), unless granted permission by a Junior Editor (R5) or higher.
-Reporters ARE allowed to use the News Microphone ((/news)).
-Reporters ARE allowed to host events as part of SANews.

***R3 - Correspondent
Correspondents are the people who knows what being a News Reporter is. They understand how to use the News Microphone ((/news)) and their way goes ahead all the News Reporters. They are the Elite News Reporters that manage other News Reporters below them.

-Correspondents ARE allowed to be in the driver seat of a SANews Van.
-Correspondents ARE NOT allowed to be in the driver seat of the SANews Chopper, unless permission is granted by an Editor (R6) or higher.
-Correspondents ARE allowed to use the Live Broadcast Microphone ((/live)).
-Correspondents ARE allowed to use the News Microphone ((/news)).
-Correspondents ARE allowed to host events as part of SANews.
-Correspondents ARE allowed to grant/reject permission to an Intern about being in the driver seat of a SANews Van.
